Recruiting an employee from abroad can be seen as a big investment for a company or an organisation in many ways. In addition to starting in a new job, an employee who has just arrived in Finland faces a lot of other new things when settling into their new Finnish life.
The Soft Landings training by the University of Oulu supports companies and organisations in making recruitment of an international talent successful and recruitment-related investments profitable. The training supports both the individual employee and the organisation:
- Introduces newcomers to the Finnish society and work culture,
- Offers local (Oulu-area specific) information,
- Offers Finnish and English language training, including special details of spoken language and work-related communication, and
- Improve understanding and smooth co-worker relationships between Finnish and non-Finnish employees.
