Interested to learn about ethics of AI and Learning Analytics? Join our summer course to get a comprehensive overview of this growing field! During the course we will analyze legal and ethical issues surrounding AI and Learning Analytics in educational contexts.

The course provides important skills and knowledge to critically engage with and evaluate data intensive educational technologies. Together we will explore AI ethics, privacy, data protection and AI legislation, as well as ways to prepare, design, and implement an ethically sound and legally compliant AI-enhanced LA project.

Introduction to AI ethics. Overview of different ethical and privacy issues related to AI and learning analytics use in educational context. Data protection as an important part of privacy. Familiarizing with a critical approach literature to AI and learning analytics. Introduction to students' agency and AI literacy. Individual and group work on assignment. Critical evaluation of selected AI tools in educational context.
