Upon completion the student should be able to:

• display general knowledge of some broad periods in the history of English-language literature and an understanding of selected representative texts
• understand and be able to use a range of central literary concepts and terms
• offer personal readings of individual literary texts based on close reading and textual evidence

Järjestämistapa: Blended teaching; Variable teaching and learning methods

Assessment will be based on a portfolio consisting of various assignments.

The course utilises a numerical grading scale 0–5. In the numerical scale zero stands for a fail.
