Angewandte Germanistik (AVOIN YO)
In the course, theories and methods from linguistics, intercultural studies and multilingualism research are applied to selected authentic corpora/examples with a focus on (international) business, corporate, tourism and media communication and communication in institutions in the intercultural field.
There is one topic per session. These include, for example, text types in corporate communication today, text grammar and social media, advertising and emotional linguistics, sustainability communication in companies, multilingualism and language and cultural mediation in the workplace from the perspective of interaction, translation and specialised languages, interculturality in German-Finnish institutions and intercultural tourism communication.
Part of the course will be lectures by renowned international guest scientists from science and business, who will talk about their research and work.
