What kind of emotions does it bring up? This new and inspiring online course sheds light on climate change from a new perspective – through emotions.

Education description
The course offers gamified information package on climate emotions and constructive climate interaction. The course uses avatar figures with which you can reflect on your own climate emotions and personal approach to climate change. Avatars work as one of your tools as you try to figure out why we have such different views about climate change.
By participating in this course, you will:
- learn to understand and express climate emotions
- realize why people react differently to climate change
- get new tools to solve climate-related challenges
Key content:
- the spectrum of climate emotions and factors behind them
- special attention is paid to climate hope and its sources
- constructive climate interaction that is approached through personal experiences, understanding of reactions, and practices of interaction
Research on climate emotions and communication forms the basis for the course. The student takes this knowledge into practice by creating a “climate avatar” and interacting with other avatars in dialogue games. The student is provided with tools for maintaining hope and constructive communication in everyday life.
