Supporting Language and Communication Development (OPEN UNI)

None. A basic course in special education (5 credits) is recommended to be taken before this course.

 After completing the course, the student

• is able to define various language and communication difficulties
• can distinguish between communication challenges different ages
• knows different assessment methods and their use
• recognizes the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation in supporting language and communication
• knows communication methods that support and replace speech
• considers their own responsibility as a more competent partner in various interaction situations

Online studies 135 h Study of lecture recordings and given learning material. Perform tasks as instructed individually or in groups.

Two books and one scientific article presented at the lecture.
