Language Skills, Part 1/2 (OPEN UNI)

Good basic knowledge of German required, e.g. six courses (two years) of German at upper secondary school (lukio).

Upon completing the course, students will be able to analyze the content and structure of functional texts and easy academic texts and write them themselves. Students will learn and use the central vocabulary in connection with the text types covered in the course. Students will be able to discuss various topics and give a presentation in German. They can speak freely in different areas (formal & informal) as well as in different social forms (pair & group discussions), present facts in an understandable way and use the appropriate register.
