Introduction to micro-entrepreneurship in Finland (OPEN UNI), lv. 2024-2025

No required pre-knowledge. On the course, the student can apply the course exercises on their existing business or on a fictional case company.

• Get acquainted with the research field and study module of micro-entrepreneurship
• Understand the definition, characteristics and importance of micro-enterprises in society
• Recognizes the importance of company values, goals and entrepreneurial skills to the systematic management of a company
• Understands the significance of the concept of resilience as part of enterprise management

Time and place independent online learning in a Moodle learning environment in time constraints.

Written material indicated by the teacher. Material in Moodle (videos, podcasts). Online material.

Exercises based on your own company or case company. Other assignments given by the teacher.

Approved completion of assignments.

This is an independent 5 ECTS course that can be included into the 25-30 ECTS Microentrepreneurship course package. We recommend that the student would choose either this Finnish course or Introduction to microentrepreneurship in Finland course (provided in English).
