Intermediate Course in Spanish 3 (OPEN UNI), The Summer University of Northern Ostrobothnia

Elementary Spanish I and II and Advanced Spanish I and II or equivalent knowledge.

The course aims to develop and improve oral skills, develop listening comprehension and expand vocabulary. After completing the course, the students will be able to cope with everyday conversational and spoken situations, understand general texts on familiar topics and to some extent in their field of work, master the basic structures of the language and produce comprehensible and fluent texts. They can express themselves and their opinions and views, deepen their knowledge of Epanish culture, life and history and acquire knowledge of current events. They will expand their vocabulary and active language skills on topics of interest to them. Revice and deepen the structures of the language.

There are 4 hours of lessons, two sessions per week. The course consists of different types of exercises in pairs or groups. In addition to contact teaching, the course includes independent study. Sometimes there are 2 hours of contact teaching per week + 2 hours of self-study.

To be agreed at the beginning of the course.

Students are expected to participate actively and regularly in class. Assessment is based on activity and the final examination.

Continuous evaluation. Activity in course and final exam. More detailed evaluation criteria will be given in the course.
