In this course you will learn more basic Italian grammar and practise simple practical situations, while getting to know Italian culture through texts, listening and video tapes. The lessons include structure and listening exercises as well as conversation and pronunciation exercises in pairs/small groups. The course will cover the basic structures of the Italian language, including: possessives, piacere verb, durative present tense, reflexive verbs, use of infinitive pronouns and passato prossimo or perfect tense. Topics include shopping in cafés and restaurants, expressing preferences, making travel arrangements and telling about past events.
