Climate change is more than just knowledge and numbers. This inspiring online course approaches climate change through emotions. Game elements, such as climate avatars, work as a tool to explore one’s own emotions and practice constructive climate interaction.

Content
The study module offers a gamified info package on climate emotions and constructive interaction about climate. The central contents:
- spectrum of climate emotions as well as the underlying factors affecting them
- special attention is paid to climate hope and its sources
- constructing climate interaction through acknowledging the personal experiences, reactions and communication practices
The student gets to use research on climate emotions and interaction in creating herself a “climate avatar” and in interacting with other avatars in dialogue games. The student receives tools to maintain hope and to discuss climate topics in a constructive manner.
This course is connected to the following Sustainable Development Goals of the UN: 3) "Good health and well-being" and 13) "Climate action".
