Project management

After completing the course, the student will be able to: • Explain the key concepts of project management • Describe the main aspects of project planning • Utilize various methods for scopin the project • Schedule a project and assess its costs • Identify the essential tasks in managing project risks • Have a good understanding of the core competence areas in project management and the competence requirements for a project manager • Apply acquired knowledge to plan and evaluate the implementation of different types of projects

Online teaching for 6 hours: Introductory lecture and 5 optional tutoring sessions with the opportunity to discuss the course content and assignments), assignments based on course materials, and a final test. All materials are available in the Moodle environment, and the opening lecture can also be viewed as a recording. The teaching language is Finnish and/or English: The course and all assignments can be completed in either Finnish or English, according to the student's choice. The introductory lecture and tutoring sessions are in English. The course is corresponding to 135 student work hours (including teaching and the student's own work).

Courses are evaluated on a scale 0-5.
