Process and quality management (OPEN UNI)

Upon completion of the course, the student:

• is able to explain the purpose of process management, quality and total quality management
• has the prerequisites to develop an organization and its operations based on the principles of process and quality management
• has the prerequisites to apply modern quality management philosophies such as Lean and Six Sigma in development work

The course consists of ten weekly lectures and related assignments (2/lecture). The orientation lecture is organized as a live online lecture and is recorded for later viewing. Following this, weekly video lectures and assignments will be published in the course's Moodle workspace. Additionally, tutoring sessions and opportunities to participate in voluntary visitor lectures will be organized.

For each weekly lecture, the student completes two assignments related to the lecture's content: 1. an assignment related to the week's substance matter, e.g. a reflective learning diary or a quiz and 2. an applied exercise related to the week's topic. . Each week's work is graded and the total course grade (1-5/fail) is based on the total score of these ten grades.

The course utilizes a numerical grading scale 1-5. In the numerical scale zero stands for a fail.
