In this course, you will learn the fundamentals needed to understand and create immersive VR experiences. The lectures cover the structure of XR systems, the current state of the technology, human factors influencing development, and a high-level understanding of some mathematical tools for 3D space. In the practical part of the course, you will learn to create immersive VR applications from scratch using the Unity game engine. The course is designed so that no prior experience with Unity is required.

Prerequisities and co-requisites

The course is an independent entity, and does not require other additional studies carried out at the same time. It can also be considered as the first in the set of courses on XR. It is recommended to take it before VR Systems and Humans course (521291S) and 3D environments and Applications (521040A).
