Intermediate Course in Spanish 1 (OPEN UNI), The Summer University of Northern Ostrobothnia

Elementary Courses in Spanish 1 and 2 or equivalent skills.

The aim of the course is to develop the student’s language skills in different areas. After completing the course, the student can communicate in situations that require a simple exchange of information of familiar, everyday issues. The student understands easy texts, can express opinions and copes well with short conversations. The student has good knowledge of Spanish culture ja life. The student understands the cultural, historical and linguistic diversity of Spanish-speaking countries.

Contact teaching 2 x 90 min./week, 52 hours. Homework and independent work 83 hours. Overall workload about 135 hours.

Regular and active participation in contact teaching, completion of given assignments and exams.

Continuous evaluation. Activity in course and final exam. More detailed evaluation criteria will be given in the course.
