Elementary Programming (OPEN UNI)

The course has no prerequisites. Having mathematical background is helpful.

1. Is capable of solving problems in the computer's terms
2. Understands the basic concepts of programming
3. Knows the basics of the Python programming language
4. Is able to implement programs independently
5. Is able to use the internet to find information about programming

Main leaning activity is studying in the Lovelace learning environment (lovelace.oulu.fi).

The course is completed by passing all learning assignments, programming exercises, programming exam and a final exercise project. Grade will be determined by completed tasks. Read more about assessment criteria at the University of Oulu webpage.

The course is delivered as independent online studies in the Lovelace learning environment (https://lovelace.oulu.fi). Outside holiday seasons it is possible to ask questions in an online discussion platform.

NOTE! The course includes an exam that must be completed in a supervised E-exam space. Without the exam the course can only be graded as 1.
