Required proficiency level Successful completion of Elementary Course 1 (904016Y) or equivalent knowledge (e.g., one year of French studies at another institution).

The student can

• talk about their living environment,
• talk about past events,
• manage in everyday speech situations and short dialogues,
• understand parts of normal-speed speech,
  • can make everyday arrangements,
• have understanding of the French culture as well as the French-speaking world

Mode of delivery Contact teaching/online teaching 52 hours of lectures and independent work (completion of agreed assignments).

Study book: C'est parfait 1 (Unités 0-5). Martikainen &Lindgren, Otava.

Regular and active participation in the lectures, completing the the given assignments and final exam. Read more about assessment criteria on the webpage of the university of Oulu.

Successful completion of the course is assessed on the scale of 1-5. If the student so wishes, they may get the assessment "pass".
