Agile Management Practices in Micro-enterprises (OPEN UNI), Helsinki Summer University

No pre-requisite requirements.

On completion of the course, the student will:

• know the key principles and tools of agile management of micro-enterprises
• understands how agile management can give a company a competitive advantage in a changing business environment
• understands the roles and responsibilities of actors in agile operations.

The project work is carried out for the case company as individual work. The course also includes online discussion and peer assessment based on the course material and project work.

Video lectures, podcasts, English and Finnish research literature or articles and other literature as specified by the teacher.

The course project work is done in a real company. The project work will identify the current state of digital readiness of the company and possible development measures. Students will work together to produce a future digital plan for the company.

Accepted completion of tasks.

A numerical grading scale of 0-5 is used. On the numerical scale, zero means fail.

Target group: In addition to micro-entrepreneurs, self-employed people, those planning to start a business, those working in public business services, and business decision-makers and influencers.
